California Parks Access: A Complete Guide to the State and National Parks for Visitors With Limited Mobility
Published in Paperback by Cougar Pass Pub Co (April, 1992)
Average review score:

A must-have guide to read ahead and take with you.I never realized how much (and how little) our state parks have to offer those of us who have mobility limitations. The Mitchell's have taken the time to visit every park in their book - and it shows. I was especially impressed with the detailed descriptions of trails and points of interest. Now I have a very good idea of whether I will be able to enjoy each park. Most importantly, I know which parks I do not want to miss.
Thanks for your efforts and awareness of the needs of wheelchair users and others with limitations.

Candle for a Corpse
Published in Hardcover by St. Martin's Press (April, 1900)
Average review score:

A completely winsome and capitaving book;worthy of your timeThis was my first (but definitely not my last) experience with Meredith and Markby. I completely enjoyed this story, and my only complaint was that the style was so easy to read I was through the book long before I was ready for it to end. I felt like a child following a trail of jelly beans as the clues and red herrings turned up. Just an awfully lot of fun with a couple of sharp plot turns in the end that sends you into worlds of thought and conjecture when you lay the book down finished. I highly recommend it.

The Cape run : the story of the Union-Castle service to South Africa and of the ships employed
Published in Unknown Binding by T. Dalton ()
Average review score:

Re-living The PastI was given this book as a Christmas present by my wife. She has had to endure my love for these splendid ships for many years. As an ex-Union Castle sea going officer I opened the pages expecting to find a simple catalogue of events. In reality what I found was a book written by someone who looks back on these halcyon days with all the fondness and longing as I. For anyone who has travelled to and from South Africa either as a passenger or a member of the ship's company will delight in this opportunity to re-live some memorable days... and nights!

Case Hysteries
Published in Paperback by Edwin Mellen Press (May, 1996)
Average review score:

Like this writers work, this writer is unique!"Case Hysteries" is superb. It is one of the best examples of applied scholarship that I have seen. I say this because being a previous student of Dr. Mitchell's, I have privy of knowing that though she is a professor of English a large portion of her educational background is deeply rooted in the study of philosophy. "Case Hysteries" is unique because Dr. Mitchell has taken complex Freudian concepts and presented them in an artistic format. As much as this collection of poetry is about artistic expression, it is also a celebration of Freud and of women. Though the author is quick to point out the problems that the concepts of psychoanalysis have created for women in her acknowledgement page, she just as quickly recognizes the importance of the female voice that appears in this work. For anyone who is tired of the trite form found in a large portion of contemporary poetry "Case Hysteries" is a retreat to something good--something pure and original. This work is successful because Dr. Felicia Mitchell is not afraid to seek success in the tumultuous space of untried creativity. This book is for scholars of English, Philosophy, and knowledge. If for no other reason, this work should be read for its fresh unconventional creative approach to form and style.
